2500bc-14/1300bc | A stone cist 1m x 0.9m x 0.85m deep formed from unworked slate obtainable at the nearest from a site 5 miles away, with a natural soil bottom. It contained the crouched burial of a person head to SE, facing NE, accompanied between the knees and the chin by an upright food vessel with twisted cord decoration. |
