14/1300bc-8/700bc | On a steep hillside 36m from the west bank of Trethem Creek and on the old ground surface were set a food-vessel of Abercromby Type IV inside a hybrid bucket-shaped, slightly biconical cinerary urn, both inverted. There was no trace of a covering mound (although one was presumed), and they had been preserved beneath an earth bank which separated two fields. With them was found a whetstone, and 4 fragments of unburned human bone. There were also several small fragments of completely burned human bone, and charcoal. |
