100bc-AD43 A cist of slate slabs 1.8m x 0.3m with an inhumation of an adult male c50 or more, dolichocephalic, extended on its back, hands crossed across the pelvis, head probably to NNW. The bones from the knees down were missing except for a heel bone, possibly due to weathering as the whole cist floor had sunk a little in that area. Under the lower legs there no longer existed a slate slab floor as with the rest of the body, and there appeared to be no covering slab. There were no grave goods. A small plain sherd was found just outside the headstone, possibly of Iron Age type.
