100bc-AD43 A small clay with flint barrow contained a pre-Claudian cremation in a stave-built hooped wooden bucket of iron and bronze, surrounded by 12 pottery vessels. These included a globular pedestal urn, an ovoid beaker, a tall butt beaker, parts of three further ovoid beakers, three Gallo-Belgic platters, a bowl, and two knobbed lids. There was also a fragmentary vessel of brown glass, a bronze armlet and a bronze 'thistle' brooch.
