100bc-AD43 Three cremation burials, two close together, the third some 13.8m to the south east. The last comprised calcined bones and a Colchester brooch (La Tene III) contained in an upright butt beaker. The others comprised calcined bones contained in a upright butt beaker, and a cremation contained in a small pedestal jar and associated with a single handled flagon, a Samian cup (Dr 27), and two bronze brooches of 1st Century AD type, these last placed with the cremation. [The last group is probably not earlier than the mid-1st Century AD.] One of the cremations was of a child.

In the villa excavation these finds were recorded (Winbolt 1925a), which suggests the building was sited on a previous settlement or cemetery:

Under the south corridor close to the SW arch four funerary urns were found in the undisturbed gault below the wall footings. One was very broken, three were whole and contained calcined bone. The pots contained a bronze ring, a bronze brooch, a silver brooch with a ring, and a silver bracelet.

Close to the north wall of the north corridor in B in a similar position to the earlier finds were two burial urns, burnt human bones in one, and more scattered about.

Eight burial urns were reported in all.
