3500bc - 2500bc | Two pits of beehive form, c1.5m deep x 1.2m in diameter, were discovered in quarrying, one of which contained portions of two human skulls, many bones and teeth of animals, and fragments of black ill-made pottery without ornamentation. The second pit contained animal bones and similar potsherds. [Date secure, or 8/700-100 bc?]. |
