8/700bc-100bc | A settlement site of at least two occupancies containing 93 pits, abandoned in pre-Roman times, with scattered human bones in one of the pits. The pottery was largely La Tene I with few Hallstatt types in evidence. Two La Tene I fibulae were found, one later in date. In Pit 1 were fragments of three persons, a frontal bone of a male, 2 parietals of a young person, and half of a left humerus of a male. [Probably 5th-4th Centuries BC]. |
