8/700bc-100bc Of about 150 pits and other features of an Early Iron Age settlement covering c2.5 acres, 20 pits were excavated and 78 pits, 21 post holes, 7 gullies and a probably contemporary inhumation burial were uncovered and planned before the site was destroyed.

The grave was little more than scraped hollow, just deep enough to receive a flexed inhumation lying on its side, head to N. A few small Early Iron Age sherds were in the grave, which appeared to have been isolated and not part of a cemetery.
