8/700bc-100bc | A cave with evidence of human occupation over several millenia. Human bones were found in undisturbed parts of all the deposits (except the barren), but none appeared to have been buried. At 1A they were very numerous in the topmost stratum, and the majority of them were thought probably to be of the Romano-British or Early Iron Age. Almost all were fragmentary, representing 5 adults and a child c6, none assigned to a particular period. |
