2500bc-14/1300bc | An isolated crouched inhumation with accompanying grave goods suggesting a Late Neolithic date. These included a leaf shaped arrow head, two flint bladelets, a cutting blade and a soft hammer flake. Nearby was a pit containing a large quantity of flint: 3 scrapers possibly from the same nodule, a fragment of sickle or arrow head, many fragments of debitage including fire fractured flakes, and crested flakes core rejuvenation material. Many were soft hammer flakes. The cohesiveness of the assemblage suggests the pit and contents may be associated with the burial. |
