100bc-AD43 | Three graves were disturbed in trenching and suggested an early 1st century AD date. Grave 1 contained a female c35-50 with fragments of a Durotrigian bowl by the head. Grave 2 was of a young person, and Grave 3 contained 2 persons, a male c20-40 and a contracted male c20-35, head to W. Sherds of typical Late Iron Age pottery were stratified in Grave 3. Grave 3 probably was in a stone cist, parts of which were associated with the first body in it. |
