2500bc-14/1300bc A disc or bell barrow with a possibly annular ditch, over a central primary burial in a subrectangular grave, comprising a flexed inhumation on its right side, head to SE, of an older adult male with severe osteoarthritis which would have required considerable support. Extending beneath the skeleton and for some distance around it was a very thin, brown, apparently organic deposit. A small plain pottery vessel had been placed in front of the burial. A bronze 6-rivetted dagger and a knife dagger, a whetstone, a bone needle or perforated pin and a bone belt hook were lying close together behind the head and shoulders, the whole group covered by an unidentified organic deposit, possibly the remains of a wrapping or bag. The last two grave goods were unusual associations for this period.
14/1300bc-8/700bc In the SSE ditch section F304 was the remains of a probable contracted inhumation of an adult near the bottom of the recut ditch F475. It was on its right side, head to W, and many parts were missing. Given its deposition after the silting of the recut ditch had begun, it was dated to the Late Bronze Age by the excavators.
