2500bc-14/1300bc A possible mortuary enclosure or round barrow surviving as a pair of crescent shaped ditches attached to the E end of a presumed long mound, and containing 4 cremations in the ditches, 3 in the north and one in the south. The cremations were unaccompanied and set in small pits or hollows. Their type was considered to be of the Early Bronze Age.

At a later date a spectacle-shaped enclosure was set at the W end of the mound, and in the ditch base were placed three lightly trussed burials of two adults and a juvenile. There may have been an external bank.

14/1300bc-8/700bc Two pits in the spectacle shaped enclosure contained flexed burials, one with a fragmentary iron pin. The excavators suggested these might have been Bronze Age.

100bc-AD43 A D-shaped enclosure was constructed in the very late pre-Roman period covering most of the northern part of the site, entrance to E, and avoiding the barrow. In the early period of its existence 10 crouched Durotrigian burials were deposited, laid in simple chalk cut graves, most oriented EW. The bodies were not buried in containers, although there is evidence for shroud burials from brooches found at the knee and lower leg. Most of the adult burials were accompanied by at least one object, generally pottery vessels, jewellery or food offering placed to one side in the grave. They were dated to the 1st Century AD, with none later than the third quarter.
