3500bc - 2500bc | A long barrow oriented E with a primary deposit of two skeletons c0.3m apart, and showing evidence for decay before burial, although the bones were correctly articulated. The bodies lay head to N, on the right side. One had a cleft skull. Close by were bones of two specimens of bos longifrons, showing evidence of slaughter. Over them was a stratum of black earth. |
