2500bc-14/1300bc | After a cliff fall an urn was discovered inverted upon some fine rounded pebbles (possibly a raised beach), and containing a cremation, a bronze pin, two fragments of other bronze pins, and 2 white (?)bone beads slightly broken. Close to the urn and within the surrounding slate slabs was a bushel of shells of land snails among the blown shell sand. There was a slate slab cover stone resting on and under two tons of blocks of white quartz and Cataclew rock. Over these blocks was a layer of charcoal covered by a sandy soil. |
