14/1300bc-8/700bc A pit burial, with the pit dug through the clay overlying marlstone. It was filled with dark grey friable ashy soil containing oak charcoal in which was set an upright pot. This had contained cremated bone. A yellow clay layer had sealed the pit and encircled the pot neck. The capstone was a local marlstone slab. The cremation was of one adult which could not be sexed. There was no burial mound.
