2500bc-14/1300bc | Round barrow whose mound was made of darkish yellow-brown loam. Just to the south west of the centre was a small oval pit 0.6m x 0.45m x 0.15m deep with soft black filling including 4 fragments of calcined human skeletal material, and charcoal of oak and ash. On the old ground surface near the pit were two Bronze Age flint implements. [Williams 1]. |
