2500bc-14/1300bc | Pitched stone mound enclosed by an incomplete ring of large boulders. Under the mound was a small heap of earth and rubble. Under this, to the south of the centre was a primary burial pit containing a compact filling of small stones with little soil beneath which was a small quantity of cremated bones of one individual, a small broken shale ring with perforations, a scrap of pottery and a shale bead. There were some charcoal fragments. [Barrow 3]. |
