2500bc-14/1300bc Round barrow with a central cist 1.6m x 1.3m x 0.8m high, oriented NW/SE. The barrow mound of earth and clay was free of stones. There was a capstone with a long hole at the north west end. 53 small, rough, irregularly shaped stones formed the cist floor laid on the old ground surface. There was a small pile of burnt human skeletal material close to the south west side, near the south east end, compact in form as if originally in a bag. Nothing was found below the cist floor. The south east cist wall slab appeared a 'closing' slab with several packing stones outside. There was no charcoal, flints, or pottery in the cremated remains or in the cist. It was possibly the cremation of an adult and a child. The inner face of the south west cist wall slab was decorated with 6 foot markings (single feet of 4 adults and 2 children c3-4 and c10-12), 9-10 cup marks and a horn device.
