2500bc-14/1300bc A round barrow, comprising a core of sandy loam covered with beach pebbles and stones. The primary burial pit was 1.5m north of the centre and filled with loose stones mixed with fragments of burnt human bone including a cranium. 1.2m north of the pit were found the crushed fragments of a food vessel. Scattered crumbs of Beaker pottery in the core of the mound suggested settlement earlier. A ring of post holes under the north east quadrant of the cairn indicated a circular hut 9m in diameter, containing a hearth. This and the post holes provided sherds of a late variety of Beaker.

There were probable secondary burials comprising 3 cists above the soft core of the mound, but the contents had been removed and there had been much other disturbance. The lower levels of the cairn had not been so disturbed.
