2500bc-14/1300bc A stone covered earth mound with a stone ring eccentric to the cairn centre. The primary burial had been rifled, but there were 9 intact secondary burials. Inside the stone ring to the south was stone cist B containing human bone and ashes. Outside the ring to the south was a circular stone cist A containing charcoal and animal bones (possibly of boar). Outside the stone ring to the west was stone cist G containing human bones and a cinerary urn ornamented with cord impressions; also a cinerary urn H containing human bones and a cover stone but no cist; also a 'cist of clay', I containing a pygmy cup and a fragment of flint; and a stone cist J containing a large cinerary urn inside which was a pygmy cup. Two other cists contained charcoal, and 2 other urns were found, one in a cavity east of centre, charcoal lined and covered with a slab, another inverted on a flat stone. Urns were of Middle to Late Bronze Age.

Charred wood was found throughout the mound in large layers especially near the urns or bones.
