2500bc-14/1300bc | A mound of sand with a thick stone capping, and a kerb of slabs set on edge. 4 cists were found buttressed with piled stones. The central cist contained a crouched male on its left side, head to N, and had been erected on the old ground surface. To the north west side was a rhomboidal cist on the old surface, containing the crouched skeleton of a young male on its right side, head to S. South of the central burial was a small cist containing the skeleton of an infant, lying on its right side, head to N. Near the west side was a larger cist, possibly secondary, a rounded oblong shape, containing the crouched skeleton of a male, on its left side, head to N. No pottery or other artefacts were found. |
