2500bc-14/1300bc A round barrow of loose earth and clay capped with stones. There was a central paved area 7.5m x 5.4m on a layer of fine earth above the natural rock, and oriented N/S, on whose edge was built a dry stone wall to the south, west and east but not north, 0.6m high. Cinerary urns were placed on the paving and surrounded by layers of small rubbley stones. In some parts of the barrow mound were several black streaks and patches mixed with reddened clay and charcoal fragments. There were 13 primary interments within the stone walling, and 5 secondary interments in the east, west and south sides of the barrow, one inside the inner wall.

Near the platform centre were set nine urns (all lost), each on a flat stone, with stones piled around them and a large cover stone topping each. Two further urns contained burnt human skeletal material including that of one adult, urn 1 also containing the bones of a mole, field mice, shrews and pig, urn 2 a bone pin. Both were in the south west quadrant of the walled area, and were similarly protected by stones. Two other urns are known in fragments, a bone pin also being associated with one, No 5, which contained a child cremation and was in a cist at the south end of the enclosure.

A small stone cist containing calcined bones was just inside the inner wall at the north east corner, and is regarded as a secondary deposit. Outside the enclosure wall were 4 more secondary burials. These comprised an urn on a flat stone with a cover, reddened earth around it, and charcoal and ashes; and three other burials of burnt human skeletal material set in a hole lined with clay, the walls reddened with fire. Stones protected the opening. There were some (?) sheet bronze fragments and three bone beads with the burnt (adult) bones of No 6.

A few worked (3) and unworked (7) flint flakes were found in the barrow spoil.
