2500bc-14/1300bc | A ring ditched barrow which contained a shallow central inhumation of a small contracted skeleton and a very large unornamented Beaker. The ditch contained much occupation refuse: animal bones, secondary Neolithic sherds, a flint scraper, pieces of sandstone rubber and burnt soil and flints, all presumed from a nearby Late Neolithic settlement. The ditch was dug in angular fashion. |
