2500bc-14/1300bc | A bowl barrow with a chalk capped turf mound and a ditch. A central primary cremation with collared urn had been excavated in 1804. There was an urned cremation undisturbed in a pit cut into the chalk in the south east quadrant, inverted and probably also primary. A third cremation was recorded in the north east quadrant. Three stake holes were placed around the central cremation pit, and many other stake holes were recorded but could not be structurally interpreted. |
