14/1300bc-8/700bc | A disturbed bowl barrow with the central pit empty. South of the centre was a well cut pit containing two barrel urns. One had stood upright and contained the cremation of a child. This had been crushed and pushed aside to accommodate a second inverted barrel urn containing several large pieces of charcoal and the cremated bones of an adult. The barrow mound earth contained flint flakes and pieces of sandstone, one used as a rubber. |
