2500bc-14/1300bc | A bowl barrow with a primary interment in a 1.2m deep pit cut into the chalk, the inhumation of an adult male, the bones tinged with bronze (the grave is assumed robbed). On the east side of the barrow were two infant inhumations, one head to E, the other to W, each placed on the head of a small cow. There were further secondary interments of a cremation (unaccompanied), and above that an inhumation with a Beaker, 0.45m below the barrow surface. |
