14/1300bc-8/700bc | Possibly two confluent bowl barrows looking like one long oval in shape. In the mound centre a bowl shaped recess was cut into the chalk and contained a cremation with a bone bead. The base of the recess retained the impress of the cloth which had wrapped the cremation - rather coarse, with 3-4 strands to 65mm. There were three secondary cremations in small urns of honey-pot shape, inverted, of the (?)Late Bronze Age. |
