2500bc-14/1300bc | A bowl barrow with a small pit overlaid by a partially inverted small collared urn containing burnt human bone. Nearby was a fine flint scraper. The remains of the funeral pyre covered part of the barrow floor. There was a secondary cremation under a layer of small sarsen stones 0.3m above the barrow floor. There was an inhumation just below the central barrow surface but undatable, a leaf arrow head nearby. |
