2500bc-14/1300bc A bowl barrow with a central primary cist grave, containing a contracted skeleton with a necked Beaker, and a satellite grave 0.75m long with a contracted infant inhumation. These were covered by a large cairn with six stratified secondary inhumations. The first was a crouched burial with a food vessel in a very deep shaft grave which re-used the slabs of the primary cist. The second disturbed the first, and was a slightly contracted inhumation with a food vessel in a slab-lined grave. The third was a slightly contracted inhumation with a 'Wessex' vase support; this was in a grave pit and above it was the fourth, in the same grave. The fifth inhumation was contracted under a wooden slat. The sixth, in a grave, was a contracted skeleton of a child. The cairn was covered by a turf stack, and capped with chalk. The barrow was built on a Neolithic occupation site.
