2500bc-14/1300bc | A bowl barrow with a central pit cut in the chalk, lined with flat stones set on edge, and covered with a large flat stone. This contained an inhumation with a deer's antler and several teeth of a large boar. At the foot of the body was an urn containing cremated bones 'of some animal, probably of the fox or badger' (Warne). Also in the urn were a triangular serrated stone spear head, a flint arrow head and a boar's tusk perforated with a hole. |
