14/1300bc-8/700bc | A bowl barrow with a ditch lined with small flints in a thin layer, and with a narrow channel running in the base. The thin layer also contained small waste flakes, sherds of very crushed Bronze Age pottery and flint cores, and was set directly in the subsoil. The mound had a turf core with an earthen envelope. The centre deposit had been disturbed, originally comprising an inverted bucket urn packed about with flints and containing cremated bone of a young adult male. |
