2500bc-14/1300bc A bowl barrow with 3.6m to the south of centre a large deposit of pounded burnt bones set upon a layer of decayed vegetable substance (wood or bark). A shale ring, an oval greenstone, and a chalk flint were found near the centre also on the floor. The whole barrow floor showed extensive traces of burning, which were repeated at a level halfway between the barrow floor and apex. Higher in the mound was a stone lined cist containing a crouched inhumation on its left side, head to NW. Flint chippings and round pebbles were prevalent throughout the mound. [There were intrusive Romano-British burials in 7 cist graves 0.6m below the top of the barrow on the south side and in other locations].
