2500bc-14/1300bc | A cone shaped mound of stiff earth interlaid with charcoal. At the base was a fragmented urn packed in a cairn of flints which covered a pit dug into the old ground surface. The pit was full of calcined bones and ash, amongst which was a pointille decorated grooved dagger with 2 rivets, encased in its original leather sheath. |
