100bc-AD43 | A group of 6 cinerary urns some of late Belgic type buried c1m deep with no apparent covering mound. Four of the urns contained a mixture of calcined bones and chalky soil, the bones being much broken before insertion. One urn had characteristics of an urn from Aylesford (Site 1271). Associated with the pottery was a bronze fibula of the 1st century AD, probably the earlier part given the pottery types. |
