3500bc - 2500bc Long barrow oriented E. There was a primary deposit of at least 16 skeletons in disorder on a flint pavement, surrounded by sarsen slabs and overlain by sarsen, a possible mortuary house. Some skulls showed signs of injury. The remains included adults of ages ranging from below 25 to advanced age, some identifiably male, and three children (an infant, a child c6 and one c12). There was evidence for some bodies at least having been in an advanced state of decomposition when deposited in the barrow. Head and hooves of seven oxen were found at the east end.
