2500bc-14/1300bc | A bowl barrow with an inner mound and ditch overlaid by another. The inner mound was of turf covered with gravelly clay. A petit tranchet derivative arrow head was found in the mound. The primary burial was a cremation in a circular pit accompanied by a food vessel on its side. More than one person could have been represented. The outer mound was of turf overlaid by ditch material. A cremation that it covered had been inserted into the top of the inner mound. It was packed in moss. |
