14/1300bc-8/700bc A bowl barrow with a shallow outer ditch, the mound set on the old ground surface which was pitted in the southern half by irregular hollows containing burnt soil and charred wood. The mound was of soft sand irregularly laid, covered by white sand with pebbles and dark brown peaty sand, also irregularly laid, over which there was a layer of black or dark green sand in which the cremations were set. There were 39 cremations, 26 in urns and 13 others probably formerly contained in urns removed by denudation of the barrow. All but two urns were inverted, and all contained partially burnt bones and pieces of skull, fibrous material and pebbles split by heat. Some breakages of urns had occurred on deposition. The urns were mostly bucket urns, with some barrel urn fragments, but no globular urns. They were in the main poorly, even hastily made. Urn 9 contained cremated remains of a child of c2, a child of c9, and an adult. Urn 36 contained cremated remains of a female c20 or more.
