2500bc-14/1300bc | An inhumation of a probable female c30, brachycephalic, flexed or crouched, on its right side, head to SW, with an A Beaker by the head. It was in a grave pit cut into the chalk, 1.8m x 1.35m x 0.8m deep with rounded corners, and filled with chalk rubble. Low in the filling was a layer 5cm thick of black material including much charcoal. It appears to have been an isolated burial with no mound. |
