2500bc-14/1300bc An uninterrupted ring ditch with no interments found within the circle. The original burial may have been placed on the ground or in a shallow pit and covered by a mound. The ditch had been recut for two thirds of its length in its second phase. Human remains were found in the ditch fill as follows: Area I - several pieces of probably human calcined bone in association with many sherds of a single pot; Area IV - fragments of calcined human bone with potsherds. These potsherds were from small collared urns.
14/1300bc-8/700bc Into the silt fill of the recut ditch at the south (Area VI), was dug a small oval pit which contained calcined bones from the cremation of a youth mixed with small fragments of charcoal and ash like soil and 240 flints (66 of these were burnt). Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pottery was in levels associated with this deposit.
