14/1300bc-8/700bc | A ring ditch of irregular shape, and at least 4 causeways. To the south of the centre was a pit containing an almost complete barrel urn inverted over a dense deposit of charcoal and the clean cremated bone of an adult female c30-45. The remains of a funeral pyre had been dumped in the pit around the urn apparently when cool. There was a possible secondary cremation deposit outside the ring ditch to the south west. |
