2500bc-14/1300bc | In Area 'a' there was a small oval pit cut into the natural coombe rock. This was a shallow grave partly lined with small sarsens, containing a crouched inhumation of a male c30-35, head to NE, facing E, accompanied by a late Beaker (Clarke's S3) on its side mouth downwards, a bronze awl, a flake and a flint knife.
