2500bc-14/1300bc A ditched bell barrow with south of the centre a cremation and a small squat biconical urn decorated with chevron patterns was associated. [This cup is described elsewhere as an incense cup.] A riveted bronze dagger was also recorded as being found but is not in the excavator's account. The mound had veins of 'charred wood' through it (turf lines?), and many flints in the soil, below which was a layer of clay with charred wood. At the base was a thick layer of charred wood on top of red subsoil. Around the barrow centre were seven stake holes in a circle.
