2500bc-14/1300bc | A ring ditch with at the centre a cremation burial in a pit 0.75m in diameter, without grave goods. North of the centre was an ovoid slot sloping down to a post hole 0.3m in diameter and 0.5m deep into the gravel subsoil, and 1.5m deep in all. The ditch fill produced four plain sherds from a thick-walled vase, assigned to the Middle Bronze Age. |
