These are spindle whorls. The largest one is made of stone, the black one is made of jet and the other is made from a piece of tile.
They would have had a stick pushed through the hole in the middle. Clean, combed (carded) wool would be tied to the bottom of the stick and the spindle dropped - the spinning action would twist the wool into thread which could then be dyed and woven into cloth.
