Weaving heddle
This is a weaving heddle made of bone held together at each end with strips of bronze. It was used to separate threads, which were passed through the holes (the weft). Another length of thread was woven in between these threads (the warp). Only a narrow band, useful as a belt or to trim a cloak, could be woven using this heddle.
