Only a small number of materials were used to produce the main body of figurines. The vast majority were made of copper alloy, but other materials include iron, lead, pewter, silver, and gold (Table 2). In addition various materials were used to add decorative details including silver, gold, enamel, and glass. All of these techniques were used on the many different types and styles of figurine, but some techniques are more common on particular forms.
