Description: Wing, probably from an eagle, cast in (leaded) bronze, the lower part broken (Figs. 126 and 127). The treatment of the feathers shows similarities with the Silchester eagle, cast by the cire perdue method and dated to the second century AD (Boon 1957, 99, pl 15; Toynbee 1964, 129, pl XXXVb). The reverse is undecorated. Etc. AML lab report by Bayley on p136 (AML 811354)
