Description | A cast lead alloy phallic figurine. The figure is very roughly cast and is very stylised. It has been bent out of shape. The head is crudely made, the body is undecorated and the arms are not evident. The legs are clearly drawn, as are the feet. The genitals are very well represented and constructed. He has a rounded stomach and very exaggerated erect phallus. This object is probably a fertility symbol dating to the Roman period (PAS). |
