Description | Copper alloy figurine of eagle with outspread wings and tail, the neck outstretched and head turned to the left. The overall length is 44mm and the wingspan 40mm, the wings and tail 1-2mm in thickness. The body is a crude unshapen lump below, with the remains of a circular rod or attachment by which it was fixed to a base. Details of feathers are suggested on the upper side of the wings and tail, and the overall appearance as viewed from above is effectively bird-like, though perhaps more pigeon than eagle (PAS). |
